Research interests:
1. Localizing interseismic deformation around locked strike-slip faults using far-field loading:
Localization of interseismic deformation around locked strike-slip faults is widely observed. The fault-parallel velocity is usually modelled by imposing full-rate creep directly below the locking depth. My project focuses on how localization may occur under far-field tectonic loading without this imposed creep.
2. The postseismic deformation of the 2012 Haida Gwaii earthquake.
