From April 26 to May 2, 2025, PhD
candidates Chengfang Sang and Yiqing Liu from GRC attended the European
Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly in Vienna, presenting their latest
research through poster sessions. Chengfang discussed his work on the 2024
Hualien earthquake in Taiwan, while Yiqing shared her new results on
interseismic coupling in Nankai Trough. During the conference, they reunited
with former lab member Xin Cui, now on an exchange program in France, for a
traditional “GRCer lunch”—a cherished gathering among colleagues. The EGU 2025
assembly provided a dynamic platform for early-career scientists to exchange
ideas, fostering collaboration and innovation in geoscience research. We hope
they all gained valuable insights and inspiration from this prestigious event!
